In-home Classes
“Let’s Eat!” is now offering in-home culinary classes that let you either participate in, or watch the preparation and serving of, any one of many recipes prepared by our founder Chef Robert Gatz. Chef Robert’s experience in creating easy to prepare dishes makes this a fun experience for groups of any size. You can use one of our standard plates or ask for a specific meal that you might want to try. Many of the recipes can be prepared and served in little as 30 minutes.
Savory
Filet de Beouf Bourgogne
This version of the classic Beef Burgundy served over buttered noodles has been up scaled from the typical long cook version which allow participants to enjoy in as little as 30 minutes. You will learn quick tricks and techniques that your friends and family will marvel at your culinary expertise.
Full preparation and service $45.00/person minimum 4 servings (without accompanying wine) $50.00/person (with accompanying wine).
Veal Marsala
We take the mystery out of this classic Italian dish with it’s rich sauce and accompanying Capelli d’angelo Aglio Olio. You will be surprised how quick and easy this dish is to prepare and your family and friends will be in awe of your culinary skills.
Full preparation and service $45.00/person (without accompanying wine) $50.00/person (with accompanying wine) If you prefer a Chicken version reduce the cost by $10/person
Sweet
Biscotti – are twice-baked cakes originating in the Italian city of Prato. The original cakes are large almond biscuits, made dry and crunchy through cutting the loaf of dough while still hot and fresh from baking in the oven. In this segment of the class we will make a basic recipe and using different flavors, fruits and nuts to create our interpretation of this classic dessert.
Apple/Blue Cheese Tart
– Apples and Blue Cheese? Sure why not. In this segment of the class we will demonstrate the different applications of this interesting dessert.
Tiramisu
– literally “pick me up”, is an Italian cake and dessert. It is made of ladyfingers (Italian: Savoiardi) dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks and mascarpone, and flavored with liquor and cocoa. In this class segment we will prepare our version of this classic and show different ways to serve.
Lemon Panna Cotta with Pomegranate Jell – during this segment of the class we will prepare the classic cooked cream dessert and add a twist of merging with a sweet/tart pomegranate jell.
Allow at least 2 hours for this class during which time all of the above will be prepared and shared. The cost is $25.00/person minimum four people. This is an interactive class where you get a hands on experience.
